In working with Brisbane City Council in the Active School Travel program we are
developing a framework to better manage the traffic and transport issues around our
school.
The objectives of the Active School Travel program focus on:
1. Encouraging active transport as the preferred way to travel to and from school
2. Improving students’ road safety skills
3. Reducing traffic congestion around the school to create a safer environment
4. Success and sustainability of the Active School Travel program in our school
5. Active and healthy students
This year, we are aiming to increase the percentage of active travellers at St Dympna’s.
